Ok so I thought I was done, but realized that I forgot to post some of my favorite pics from the tiny town of Grondona, where Gianni’s sister and her husband live, along with our niece and her husband. I promise these are the last of my vacay photos. I hope you have enjoyed them. Sac street style coming up! I have so much to post.
I had never seen a raspberry bush before.
I couldn’t believe I caught this butterfly on the blossom.
Anna & Gino’s home. Gorgeous.

I want this barge! Spotted on the River Siene.
I also spotted this professional photo shoot while on the River Siene. All the girls are super white and hunched over. Great bright blue fur with red headed models. I wonder who its for and I hope to find out while flipping through magazine pages this fall.
I will take this crown and the diamond studded pocket watch too please!

Joakim and friends
France was great and so were these teens. Notice on Joakim his popped collar and straw fedora hat. He was so charming. His friends wanted me to take thier picture as well and I couldn’t resist – they are all so cute. As I was waving goodbye to them Joakim shouted in his French accented English, ‘I love you!’ To which I replied, ‘okay!’ So adorable.
Here are some of my favorite pics from my trip to Italy this summer. These were all taken in Genova and the surrounding towns.
The main drag in Genova. It runs along the coast of the Mediterranean.
The view from our living room windows. Soccer games every night!
Port of Genoa. Il Bigo by Renzo Piano
Lunch. Octopus, potato, olive oil and lemon
Men at work on the roof. I took this one from our porch on the first morning.
This is a lamb kabob from Enoteca Tiflis, the restaurant on the first floor of our building. The white creation on the potato was a mix of creme fresh and cheese. So good.
Portofino. Its about a thirty minute drive to here from Genova.
Veggie store.
Great poster in the window of a store in our neighborhood.
Sunset
The candy stores had the best displays.
More hard candy.
Beautiful barber shop and the barber’s phone.
Warning in Latin. I love this font, whatever it is.
The beach in Sestri Levante.
Inside San Lorenzo Cathedral.
The tiny town of Pentema had lots of chickens and flowers.

Samantha was the proprietor of the other used clothing store in our Genova neighborhood. Her store is called Che’rie, and it is also a consignment store with clothing from the 1980s to now. From her I bought a gorgeous pair of Salvatore Ferragamo sunglasses from the mid nineties, which were only twenty euro. They are actually the nicest pair of sunglasses I have ever owned and they are so nineties chic!
She is rocking boyfriend jeans with platform heels and a cropped leather vest that she made herself. I saw her a few times over the extent of our visit and she always looked great yet different from most of the other Italian girls I checked out.
