On The Street – 20th & K
Paulette, interioir designer
Her top is so geometrically stunning I had to talk to her about it. She purchased it at a store called Mix in San Francisco and it is made by Anett Rostel, a German designer. I am not sure if its a shirt, cape or jacket. Either way it’s wonderful. If you haven’t heard yet, 1980′s inspired fashions are supposedly making a comeback. Paulette is rocking the ever so fab hammer pants, which are cinched at the ankle and are loose throughout the calf and thigh. They are usually made out of lightweight flowy fabrics such as cotton or linen. I love these on her – especially paired with this dramatic top and simple pointed pump. These pants were bought in Venice, Italy and are made by Gaetano Navarra. Check out his website to take a peek at his Spring/Summer 2009 Women’s line. Hammertime! Kidding aside his work is very beautiful. Thank you to Paulette for adding some major flair to my Second Saturday. So fashion forward and gorgeous.

i’m sorry Jen but you lost me with Brigitte Nielsen look-alike.
One of a kind..great find!
PS Brigitte Neilsen is a total babe.
Oh, Paulette. I’ve seen this woman rock stitched-together, deconstructed leather jackets; floor length, open-backed Donna Karen gowns in pewter; and sky-high Jimmy Choos with aplomb. Love it (me) or hate it (Jalew, apparently), her style is unique and refreshing.
The amazing thing, that you can’t really tell from this photo, is that she’s got the body to be wearing these two pretty dramatic pieces together! Love her.
Unfortch for me I need to learn to take better photos at night. But I agree, she looks amazing.
