The Sactorialist

Did you guys watch the Golden Globes last night? I really enjoyed the show, and many of the dresses. My absolute favorite was January Jones in Versace. The color was different from all the other designs at the show so she really stood out, and that blue looked glorious on her. Her makeup and accessories were wonderfully simple. Coming in close behind her in my opinion are Cameron Diaz in Chanel and both Eva Mendes and Drew Barrymore in Christian Dior. Drew’s hair was a straight up mess, but the dress was so inspiring. Eva Mendes has the most beautiful skin which was complimented by her dramatic turquoise necklace and crisp white dress. As for Cameron Diaz’s dress, I actually cut it out of my Vogue Fall 2008 fashion preview issue for inclusion in my inspiration/fashion scrapbook! I wasn’t really surprised to see her in something so awesome since I usually love everything I see her photographed in.

As for my least favorite of the night, it has to be Jennifer Lopez in Marchesa. She was about to bust out of that gold lame creation which was reminiscent of this Versace dress that she wore to the Grammys in 2000. That was 8 years, two marriages and one pregnancy ago and it’s time for her to try something new. Also Anne Hathaway in Armani was a bore snore and there was something going on with her face and hair that was so not cute.
